Follow these steps to guarantee a successful OpenSees analysis.

  1. Build a model
  2. Analyze the model
  3. If the solver fails, add fix commands to random nodes
  4. If the equilibrium solution fails, switch to the Linear algorithm
  5. To get better results, refine the mesh and reduce the time step
